Since human applies to most versions of TMNT (Mirage, Image, IDW, 1990, 4Kids, Platinum Dunes, Next Mutation, the only Nickelodeon season that actually was a big hit), I'm gonna assume human. I mean they're robots in, like what? The Fred Wolf cartoon due to broadcast standards, Archie as a consequence of being a tie-in and most of the Nickelodeon seasons?
