I dunno... but what if this is a way to go back and reuse the concept for
Star Trek Avengers, aka the team-up idea bandied about after
Nemesis?
Let Picard play Amanda Waller or Nick Fury, and assemble a crew of mostly new characters for some new mission?
It wouldn't exactly be Picard, Odo, Worf, the Doctor, Seven of Nine, Nerys, and whoever like the original idea... but it'd still be pretty cool!
