In a legacy, numbered Star Wars trilogy I would venture that yes. Yes, it does. Some kind of romance. Just because romance might not be your cup of tea doesn't mean it isn't an integral part of the regular saga.
Ignoring the ham-fisted but necessary romance of the PT, what would the OT be like with no romance?
