I'll be hugely happy if it isn't based on the SNES version.

While the SNES version is good, my favorite level from the arcade, was ripped to shreds.

I'm talking about Neon Nightriders.

That level in the SNES version sucked royally. Opting for some stupid mode 7 effect, instead of keeping the ambience and feel of the future the arcade version of the level, provided.

The music was better in the arcade, and the level was way better in the arcade.

That one aspect alone, made me hate the SNES version to an extent.
