Not to worry. It has Windows XP Home with Service Pack 3 on it. (It's ALSO an eMachines one, so I hope I didn't TOTALLY goof up getting THIS particular brand.)
Heh, back when I
WAS still comp-shopping, EVERYBODY that I talked to told me NOT to get one with Vista on it...even the folks at Walmart, where I bought it, AND Duke Igthorn, who's a member over at Tiger's O.Z. forums, and who WORKS in computers.
And I wouldn't have anyway, given all the HORROR stories that I've heard about it. I just hope that Windows 7 is a good OS, as I'm planning on (hoping to) getting a tablet laptop sometime in 2010, and THAT's probably what's going to be on the MAJORITY of comps of ANY kind.
