One of the biggest reasons for that is the sound quality. First clip is a real model 2 Mega Drive/Genesis and the second is an ATGames Sega Genesis Classic Game Console Deluxe.
I don't think I'll ever understand why Sega is so terrible at re-releasing their own games.
