I think out of all of the Versions, I do believe the IDW series has the most potential to appeal to the largest number of people. The 'jambalaya' approach allows for elements to be brought in fro mall versions, and retooled to fit the middle of the road, halfway between 'grim and gritty' and cowabunga' that I think works best for TMNT.

And yes, IDW can be adapted to film. Events would have to be moved around heavily, and characters and subplots would have to be condensed or dropped, but it really could work. But the biggest thing is the core of the ninja turtles cannot be lost in the adaptation. They have to look like most people think the turtles should look, have the traits we associate with the turtles, and fight like most people believe the turtles would fight. I believe IDW would be able to win people's trust back.

IDW is the best version of TMNT

If they make a TMNT reboot movie retelling the shredder battle/origin, I won't buy a ticket.
