It makes me think of Scar killing Nina in Full Metal Alchemist.

Man, you HAD to bring that up! I still consider her fate to be one of the most disturbing, depressing, and tragic ends in anime history. And the worst of it was that her own father did that to her, and she was too young/innocent to understand what happened. As much as I diliked Scar, that was probably his only redeeming moment ever. And I still hated that he did it, but..... What else was there TO do?
