I guess when it comes to mutation the animal DNA right in your blood stream is going to be more dominant than one you barely came in skin contact with during battle. It's not just about what you last touched, the amount of DNA it left on you also affects the mutation result.

I see. It's a reasonable answer, though I am not certain if I can believe it entirely. Taking Snakeweed for example, he was touched and pummeled by the turtles but he gets turned into a giant weed just because he was standing on it. Thinking back, most of the mutations that were incidental did have some kind of other affliction. Like Spider Bites was bitten by a spider right before he was mutated. I can't think of any others off the top of my head. I definitely appreciate your answer, Evan!
