That was a bit of a problem in the 2003 show too. Mostly just with Hun, but still.
I'm pretty sure that it was a jealousy thing. "So, she thinks she can be the Master's favorite just because she's his daughter, eh?"
And all this while never seeming to stop to consider what he'd do if they even had the slightest scrap of responsibility if something happened to her.
