The whole "very different" from x-men makes sense, why else would they do something similar to it if they already have X-Men.
However I don't know any of the names mentioned that will appear in it, I know a lot of c-tier mutants and yet I don't know these...I think they're missing the potential of making c-list heroes into A-listerslike Marvel Studios did. There are tons of fan favorite mutants that aren't well known but already have a fanbase. Hell that's the word of mouth that helped deadpool.
No costumes/villains? So basically the X-Men movies?
