Back in my day...

The end of May and early June didn't feel like August.

The first "turtle" in a computer "game" was in fact only a triangle on a black and green Apple computer screen that responded to basic written commands.

Nintendo owners lived under the false assumption that blowing in the cartridge would make the game work.

We had to go to a library to research for school reports. After school, when we were tired and had other homework waiting at home and dinner had to wait. Now there's kids too lazy to look up their own info with Google in front of them.

We (or at least some of us) were not permitted to touch our parent's pricey gadgets (i.e. my parents original VHS camcorder) even if old enough to be responsible with it... now you have 2-year-olds jabbing at expensive tablets and phones and under-10s owning one.

Schools didn't have A/C or TVs. (Okay, my high school did.)

Our parents didn't really get the TMNT craze, but now they're the first grandparents who totally get it. Or at least get it more now and don't mind reliving it.

What's back in your day for some here... kindergarten?
