1. The heroes need unlikely help from Thanos. That, and Utron Sigma wants mortals turned into robots.

2. The Infinity Stones were also explained. The power meter goes up and you get a super move, same as Marvel Super Heroes.

Did you not like see the story trailer from E3 or play the demo that came out at the same time?
