I'd be compelled to count at least Vol. 2's issue count into Vol. 1's, simply because even though there's a volume number separating them, there was no time interruption between the two volumes (unlike between vol. 2 and 3, or 3 and 4). If you do that, you get a run of 75 issues to TMNTA's 72.

Well, if you factor the 4 Turtle minis in Tales V2 then you
have to factor in all the Archie minis and stuff too for the Archie material... and then Archie is WAY ahead.
