We all take it for granted. But today, I found some sources saying it never happened, clamining there are no photographs or videofilms from it.

That's...not a topic you see everyday, but I must say it is certainly refreshing.

As for the topic at hand, something like that might had happened, but not usually as it's thought: Khruschev was not banging his boot on the tribune - he was sitting at the table with other delegates from various countries. There is version that he was not banging on the table at all, just demonstrated that he is about to do it.

To be honest, I am surprised that there is no definite depiction of this events, as it is not some random guy or a meeting.
