That's what happens when the system doesn't work to protect people. The people circumvent the system. It's not always a good thing, either.

We're supposed to have law enforcement and courts to handle this. But since there's not a whole lot of recourse with either of those, we get the #metoo movement instead. And like any public movement, the court of public opinion comes into play and we get these fast and harsh judgments without any due process.

It's important that we listen to people when they have complaints and give them serious consideration. Or else we get this again.
