Episode 176: Cyber-Turtles!

2. A Glaxxon calls Cyber Raphael and Cyber Donatello meddlers when they have trouble figuring out how to activate the weapon systems.
3. After the alarm goes off inside the Hall of Science, Krang says "Oh no."

Pop Culture References:
1. During the fight with the goons, Raphael says "A fool and is chain are soon parted", in reference to the famous expression "A fool and his money are soon parted", first used in the 16th century by the poet Thomas Tusser.
2. Donatello tells April that what she got on tape from the first fight is enough to convince Burne that they're on the side of Law and Order, referring to the long-running crime show.
3. After the Turtles get tied up by the Glaxxons, Michelangelo says that the Turtles come in friendship and all that jazz, in reference to the song "All That Jazz" from the 1975 musical Chicago.
4. As Cyber Donatello and Cyber Raphael approach the Cyber Glaxxons, Raphael calls one of them an overstuffed alley cat. Alley cat is the name of a Bent Fabric song, a 1984 action film, a 1983 video game, and also a Los Angeles punk band.
5. When Casey fights Shredder, Shredder calls him a vigilante, which is the title of a DC comics character along with a 1988 arcade game.
6. Cyber Raphael calls the gold and grey Glaxxon "furrball", which is also the name of a Tiny Toons character.
7. Cyber Leonardo says "Dream On", the title of a 1973 Aerosmith song right before he arrives inside the Hall of Science to defeat Shredder and his Mutants.

Mistakes:
1. The exterior of the Technodrome is an orangish-brown color instead of white in this episode.
2. The Turtles' belt initials are missing right as they bust into the Hall of Science early in the episode.
3. Donatello speaks with Raphael's voice when he tells Michelangelo that they're in the middle of nowhere as the Turtles approach the Technodrome.

Catchphrase/Insult Countdown:
1. Shredder calls Rocksteady and Bebop fools at the start of the episode.
2. Raphael calls Shredder Shredhead when the Turtles enter the Power Relay Station.
3. Michelangelo asks Gargon where Shredhead is after the Turtles and Gargon take care of some Dimension X creatures.
4. Shredder calls the Turtles accursed enemies right as he prepares to use his Retromutagen Cannon.
5. Leonardo calls Shredder "Chrome Dome" right as the Turtles launch a ship for takeoff near the Technodrome.
6. As Michelangelo and Leonardo dump Shredder into the chemical vat inside the Technodrome, Michelangelo says "Sayonara Shredhead."
7. After Shredder comes out of the chemical vat, he refers to the Turtles as "wretched reptiles".

Pop Culture References:
1. The planet Bolerafon was likely anmed after Maurice Ravel's 1928 ballet Bolero.
2. The Wrecking Crew is also the title of a 1969 film starring Dean Martin and Elke Sommer, a 1960 spy novel by Donald Hamilton, and a 1985 Nintendo video game. But they were most likely named for the Marvel Comics supervillains.
3. The title of this episode was named after Star Trek.
4. Raphael says that Gargon is leading the Turtles on a Wild Goose Chase, in reference to the comedy play written by John Fletcher in 1621 along with a 1915 film directed by Cecil B. DeMille.
5. After the Turtles return to the Lair, Raphael says that the Turtles could have been the Pet Shop Turtles if they weren't successful against Shredder, possibly in reference to the New Wave group The Pet Shop Boys.
