I'm willing to bet Nick was seriously considering going with this approach for the next TMNT cartoon since they made more TMNT Team-Up shorts than anything else. But then changed their minds and went with a regular (assumingly) action show like Rise of the TMNT.
So I feel we dodged a bullet. TMNT Team-Up might continue for all we know, but as long as it's not the "main" cartoon I won't mind. Having more 2-3 minute shorts of it is fine.
