I've been playing the hell out of it on Switch. Mainly because I'm obsessed with obtaining a Stockton/Malone team. I think it's a blast, but it has honestly taken me a couple days just to get used to shooting. Every basketball game tells you to release at the top of your jump, but the timing and this one just feels off. You have to release the button some arbitrary point before then, to get your player to release the top of his jump. This sounds like a minor grope, but it's seriously a pain, and everyone I've watched play the game complains about it. The scoring is also a little strange. There are so many ways to earn bonus points, that it's almost too complicated for an arcade style game. The default difficulty is easy, and sometimes I'll still get stomped by 10 or 12 points when the computer goes on a tear with "perfect shots," and double point bonuses.

I haven't had a chance to play with anyone, though. And that's the true test, really. I brought it to dinner with friends, but they just want to play Mario Kartů
