Episode 37: Invasion of the Turtle Snatchers
Written by: Francis Moss

Voice Cast:
James Avery: Shredder
Cam Clarke: Leonardo, Rocksteady
Townsend Coleman: Michelangelo
Jennifer Darling: Irma Langinstein, Berada
Pat Fraley: Krang, Burne Thompson
Barry Gordon: Donatello, Bebop, Klatu
Renae Jacobs: April O’Neil, Nikto
Rob Paulsen: Raphael
Peter Renaday: Splinter, Vernon Fenwick

Mistakes:
1. When Rocksteady steps back away from Donatello, Donatello is carrying Michelangelo's nunchucks.
2. Bebop's stun laser was drawn like a regular Anterian blaster right before he hit Nikto's toy.
3. When Shredder finished speaking to Krang on his comlink, Krang's bubble walker was visible, but not Krang himself.

Catchphrase/Insult Countdown:
1. Shredder calls Bebop an imbecile when he returns to the Technodrome.
2. Shredder calls Rocksteady a dimwit when asked to find his location on the alien ship.
3. Michelangelo yells "Cowabunga!" when he slides into the Acme Glue Factory.
4. Shredder calls Splinter a "meddling rodent" when in the glue factory.
5. April says "what a sensational story this will make" during the Nuclear plant battle.
6. Shredder says "foolish Turtles!" as he escapes into the transport module.
7. April signs off by saying "This April O'Neil, Channel 6 News, Signing off!" at the end of the episode.

Pizza References:
1. Donatello asks to help Irma to pick up a pizza while she's in the Turtles' Lair.
2. Right before he gets captured by the ray, Donatello mentions how April is a sucker Pepita's Pan-American Pizzas.
3. Rocksteady calls Donatello "Pizza breath" when he meets him in the alien dimension.
4. When Michelangelo asks Raphael about what caused the burn marks where Donatello got transported, Raphael responded that some poor klutz dropped on of Papita's Hot Chilli Pizzas.
5. On the alien spaceship, Berada says "this is the most delicious pizza, Donatello". Pizza is shown inside the control room, and one slice automatically moves into mid-air before sliding into Nikto's mouth. Splinter hears the pizza reference and meets Donatello right as he is holding a box of pizza.
6. Donatello presents the aliens a Won Ton and Lotts pizza, only to have Splinter say that mozzarella causes aliens to go to sleep.
7. Michelangelo wants to start cooking pizzas for the aliens, despite not returning for another 3,000 years.

Pop Culture References:
1. Donatello feels that roller coaster companies would love to have fun the way he got transported into the alien dimension.
2. When the Turtles battle the Foot Soldiers in the nuclear fission plant, Raphael throws a ball at them and uses bowling terms "strike", "set them up in the next alley".
3. The episode title is in reference to the 1956 film Invasion of the Body Snatchers.

Fourth Wall Breaking Humor:
1. Michelangelo: What goes "Quack quack?" Leonardo: "Duck?" Michelangelo: "Exactamondo!" (refers to ducking from the Foot Soldiers in the glue factory).
2. April says that this story so far doesn't have a happy ending right before Shredder captures her.
3. When the power source goes up in the Nuclear Plant, Raphael says "didn't I see this in a movie once?"

Wacky Inventions:
1. Krang's Plasma Heat Dissipator
2. Klatu's energy conversion unit and spaceship
3. Klatu's crystal that causes laser ropes to tie up intruders and create a shield around the user.
4. The particle transmitter in the Acme Glue Factory
5. The springboard that launches the Turtle Van
6. The aliens' Stun Lasers

Kidnappings:
1. Donatello and Rocksteady are kidnapped by the aliens due to Rocksteady's impolite behavior.
2. Shredder imprisons Splinter and Donatello has he transports himself and Rocksteady down to the Nuclear Reactor.

Notables:
1. The Kung Fu Theater is still playing the same theatrical movie from "Beneath These Streets".
2. This episode celebrates April's first anniversary at Channel 6. This implies that the timeline of the series up to this point takes place just under a year (evidenced by Rocksteady warning April to go back reporting for fashion shows in "Turtle Tracks").
3. Krang is shown in his Bubble Walker in the first half of this episode.
