Really nothing has been revealed about the movie...Sonic comes to earth, becomes friends with a human and fights Eggman.
There’s nothing sad (or great) about any of that. It’s exactly what it should be. It’s the absolute most basic information they could give us.
To complain about that is just looking for something to complain about.
