Because of a sale I had to enter the depths of my collection, where my WWF Hasbro figures are resting. Before they are buried again:

Wrestling Fan? My fanaticism ended around 1999, but the time before was unforgettable!
Would love to have the 3rd Warrior figure on US card, but hmmmm... rare and quite expensive! |

Very nice! Some of these could add up to my gallery hehe. If you love the 90ies wrestling stuff you might also be interested in rad rollors wwf which go for a good price on ebay currently.

Do you have a Ted Dibease figure? I believe he came in either a black or green suit with million dollar title. I have the green suit figure

Nice WWF collection dude! You and Canadiandrome are making me want to hunt down some vintage carded figs. I also think the 90's was the best for wrestling. Especially 96-99. I was a huge fan and went to a few live shows. So when Wrestling is broadcast in Germany does it get translated or subtitles? Just curious how that works.

All WWF shows on German TV were commented in German, but the commentary was peerlessly bad. The style of US commentators could not be brought into German, but they tried, and it was only bad. And we had a time shift of about 4 weeks (Wrestlemania for example was broadcasted early May, but free-TV), what means we were very late, but it was not noticeable, there was no world wide networking. Unimaginable today. |

I can feel for your television dilemma. We didn't get a satellite dish until 96 and before that time only one channel was clear from our TV antenna. So I wasn't even exposed to Wrestling until that time. That's cool you got Wrestlemania for free. We used to split the bill and have people over.
My uncle let me watch several of his VHS tapes from the late 80's and early 90's he has some box sets. That was also a great era. I was always a huge fan of Mankind, Al Snow, Debra, Ken Shamrock, the Hollies, New Age Outlaws. That's just what came to mind first. Also liked WCW Monday Nitro and the NWO stuff they did. I think WCW might have come close back in the day in beating WWF ratings.

Any ways, my fave era will always be from the late 80s, early 90s, which is the era with which I first started, thanks to my Dad watching wrestling. For a time all I knew was WWF, until about when I was in late grade school and finally got to see WCW

Since a large part of the former WWF front was in WCW at that time, and the sensational revolution regarding character change, no question WCW was far forward. But at that time, I was a very loyalty WWF fan and did not really follow what was going on in WCW. Would be different today.

Man, I've got a real soft spot for WWF Hasbro figures... They're just so 90s: colorful, cartoony and coming from an era where wrestling was at its peak...
I still have all of my figures my parents bought me back in the day and yes... I still play with them from time to time! |
