I like achievements. They're meaningless but they're fun to look at so that you can say to yourself "well done".

Man, I have over 100 hours on New Leaf but haven't played it since 2016. My town must be a mess now.

Tbh, Animal Crossing starts to lose interesting once you start getting +50% of everything and extra stuff built in your town.

Most excited about the arcade games, too bad they're not called VC which is a bit worrisome, no news on apps either.

No Donkey Kong mentioned in the arcade titles, I was hoping they'd announce it. Nintendo doesn't own the rights to the original code but come on, it's Nintendo and it's their flagship game that put them on the map not to mention Mario's first game and pop culture icon, they can afford to pony up the cash. Donkey Kong Jr. and Donkey Kong III should be available. I would also like Space Fever released.

The Arcade Archives thing is something different. It's run by Hamster, who has been doing this sort of thing since at least the PS1 era. There have already been releases in this series on the PS4, Xbox One and Switch, and they announced Windows 10 as well but I haven't seen that yet. It's just been that with bOne and Switch, it's literally only been NeoGeo titles.

Unrelated: The more I see of Super Mario Odyssey, the more excited I am for it! Seriously, there's so much in there that looks just so damn entertaining! Waddling around as pieces of Mario's f**kin' name!? Holy crap.

Despite me not getting these 2 when I purchase the Switch I do gotta give props for both Bestheda and Nintendo for making this happen, one of the problems I had with the Wii and Wii U was that there were barely any 3rd party games but this however gives me an impression that the Switch's library is going to be much stronger.

Just got a notification from my local Best Buy that my special edition copy of Samus Returns is ready for pickup after work.

I hope the Amiibos aren't all gone yet. If I see one of those Samus Edition 3DS consoles, I might be compelled to get it too.

Super excited to seem Doom and Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus coming to the Switch.

Wonder how many realize that Bethesda dodged a bullet by releasing the Switch version of Wolfenstein in 2018 as opposed to the release date for the other versions. Would have really sucked for them, if they didn't.

So, After looking around with the switch for a day or two...

One thing that's nice is ditching CD based games.

The bad thing is that you need to keep a Wii U around to play everything else.
Cause we all know Nintendo won't make older games available instantly for download. sigh.

but is nintendo going to keep it this way moving forward? assuming they plan to keep moving forward?

the switch is an odd idea for a system. but, if there was a way to transfer your digital titles form the wii u onto the switch, i'd power it up FAR more often than the U.
