Still, I've ordered everything so far. I skipped April and the Foot Soldier initially but ultimately caved. This is a dream line for me and we likely won't be seeing anything like it again, at least not in a loooong time. Yes the NECA toon line is great but really, the vintage figures are what I picture when I think of my childhood, not the cartoon. Because of that I'm ready to splurge a few times a year to get everything (with an asterisk). And really, this is the kind of line that holds it's value so if I decide to sell down the road I'll be able to recoup my costs.

*"Everything" for me is all of the basic characters that were released in the 80s/90s, within reason. I'd skip Mona Lisa and perhaps the Channel 6 crew and the Neutrinos, but Groundchuck, Halfcourt, Dirtbag, etc would all be buys. At $35 apiece they'd probably talk me into getting some of the turtle variants like Samurai Leo but for $45 they'll probably be a pass.

i agree with literally everything you said.

- i could do without the weapon sprue
- the toyline is far more iconic, to me, than the cartoon
- i'm down to splurge on this a few times a year as it's a dream line
- would skip the less interesting humanoid figures/turtle variants, but super excited to see more of the cool mutant one-offs

I see a lot of Slashs and Leatherheads on people's lists. I'd be really surprised if we don't see at least one of those two in the next wave.

Brian has already confirmed that Super7 has Usagi. Signed earlier this year. He'll be up for pre-order next year.

Also, I don't think Usagi is a "nightmare license". He appeared in multiple Playmates lines, the Nick cartoon, IDW's game... I think it's only a matter of time until he shows up in NECA's line.

If wave 5 was it then I’d say these are the must haves for me:

Krang (with Android Body and walker)
Rat King
Leatherhead
Slash

Honestly, once we have those 4, anything after that is just a bonus to me. Luckily for me I think we’ll see most (if not all) of those 4 in the 7 waves they currently have planned.

As for a realistic wave 5:

Turtle Variant (probably Raph the Space Cadet)
Genghis Frog
Krang (really hope it’s a deluxe type figure with both body and walker)
Rat King

Honestly, I’d love it if they switched out Genghis for a real curveball like Ninjara. First because I want her, second because I’d love to see the online reaction (plus the combo of brand new figure and an uber deluxe Krang set would take away from the inevitable “ugh Turtle variants” complaints)

Maybe Usagi will be in wave 5 (we know he’s next year) but personally I’d put him in wave 6 with Sewer Samurai Leo as I think Usagi might help boost Leo sales a bit there as they’d display well together.
