How do you feel about roundabouts?

Well, how do you feel about them? I'm not even sure how I feel about them. But they keep popping up.

Not a fan. There's way too many bad drivers out there that don't know how to go through them properly.

I'm from NJ. You either get used to them or crawl back to Pennsyltucky with the rest of the weaklings.

They've popped up like crazy in the last years here in Italy. Where there was a traffic light at an intersection, now there's a roundabout instead. Honestly I like them, they speed up traffic.

Never seen one and don't have any here that I know of. And if they require thought and consideration of other drivers, I wouldn't trust people here with them anyhow.

And yet, I think NJ invented them, or at least mastered them, and we're not exactly well-known for our compassion or caring for others.

I think they were invented to scare off the tourists, quite frankly. We really don't like those people, we just like their money, but otherwise we prefer they f*ck off elsewhere because they don't know how to drive and they clog up the roads. Roundabouts seem like a surefire way to keep people outta here, but for whatever reason it doesn't work as well as it should because they flock here anyways.

Jokes aside, they don't actually cause as much havoc as you'd think. Most accidents here are the same as anywhere else, people not checking to see if it's green or red before they go into an intersection. Roundabouts? We got that down. Look both ways before moving in a straight line? This vexes people, for some reason.

I admit I get a little flustered when I come upon a crowded one, but probably because it hasn't happened very often. I have to think.

If they put them in busy sections of road around here you'd grow old and die sitting at that yield before you'd ever be allowed to jump in.

As often as I'm telling them (and some of the PA drivers) to go home, I can attest to that. Though DE drivers will run you over on their own, so why anyone else comes over here is beyond me.

The Maryland cars seem to annoy me the least often.

They are a way of life in Europe, so it makes life a lot easier with less lights needed.

Theres 1 small one here but its so small it barely counts. Not sure why they made it a roundabout.

In general though I really do not like driving. I find it to be a chore. Like Ive mentioned this is a small town but there is still quite a bit of traffic.

I try to avoid the main highway because I do not like the higher speed or changing lanes. Im constantly on high alert because there is always someone or something around you. Sometimes cars seem to appear out of nowhere.

Once a car cut me off right before a stop light. I guess they thought I was going to slow. We were about to stop. They were behind me, changed to the far right and then squeezed in front of me just before the light. If I had not noticed or changed my mind at last second it would have caused an accident.

Seen a few ignore stop signs too. Not in high traffic but still. When some seem in a hurry I just let them go. I do not honk or anything. Its best they leave. Of course theyre still putting others in danger wherever theyre going.

I really do not mind if people pass me (when its safe) or go before of me. I prefer it. Wish I had a big sign the that said - Go Ahead, I Dont Mind.

I know many people love driving and going around. Im not one of them. I want to get where I need to go and be done with it.

Like, I don't know how I feel about them. On some days I encounter one and it's empty and I just zip around... seems preferable to waiting at an autonomous light. Other times... difficult to "get into" it if there's traffic. Just not sure.

I believe that's what the Turnpike is for. Or the AC Expressway. Or I-95.

In fact, just get on a highway in Jersey and horror movies won't really measure up. My resting heartrate is 8 thanks to that ****.

100% of those things are Pussy Sh*t.

If you go less than 95 on the turnpike they're actually supposed to take your license away.

Some article I randomly ran across a couple days ago was something about the "most dangerous roundabout" in whatever country it was.

How the heck can there be a "most" dangerous one when they're all shaped and function the same?

Sometimes there's a greater number of adjacent Asian drivers depending on where you are.

........WHAT? I didn't make it up. It's a thing!

I don't mind them. But, where I live, there is not too many of them, and they're relatively small.
