Shantae and the Seven Sirens

I am a pretty big fan of the series, own physical releases of all the games but the first one since its WAY out of my price lol. Nab the out of print Risky Revenge and Pirates Curse from Limit Run Games when they were releasing them like 3 years ago for the PS4? Than I pick up Pirates Curse for the Switch a few months back lol. Yeah I own 3 copies of Pirates Curse, PS4, Switch and the 3DS. I know its sad.

The trailers for all the games up to 5 right now. I am pretty hype for it, wish there was some game play footage, but so far we got a screen shot of the game. Shantae game wise has never let me down. I enjoy all 4 games. Just beat the first game on my 3DS, and am now working on the 2nd game on the 3DS lol. The plan is to beat all 4 games for the 5th game of course. To refresh myself on the story.

Not sure if I should go Switch or 3DS when I reach the 3rd game though.

Well any way we do get like 13 mins of gameplay, looks like a cross between Pirates Curse and Half Genie Hero. Over all I like it.

Me too.
I have completed all Shantae games, excepted for this first one.
Eagerly waiting for the new game. Though, I am mourning loss of the gorgeous pixel art of the early games.

The first game has a little "Cheat" I use to get plenty of lives. In Dribble Fountain, There are 4 lives, 3 you can reach easy, the 4th one needs the Harpy form. Once you get the monkey form, just collect the 3 lives, exit, save if you want, re enter, and get the 3 lives again. You can leave the place with 30 plus lives if you really want to lol. Once you get Harpy, the 4th life is in the room next to the entrance, So that would be super fast to collect it, get out, and collect it again. Yeah the game is broken if you know how to use it.

I own the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th games in the series. Loved the Pirate's Curse, but haven't had time to play through the other games all the way through.

I sold both of my Limited Run Games PS4 Shantae games in a store sale about two weeks ago. They sold for almost a hundred bucks each. You are definitely not alone in your fandom.

I've still go two sealed copies left - one of each game. I have to decide if they are worth playing or if I want to sell those in my next video game blowout as well.

I just don't do a lot of gaming anymore.

Well, mime are not seal, I open them and well played them lol. I am sure the value goes down a LOT. I still check on Ebay to see what they go from time to time. No plans in selling my copies though. I MAY consider it if Limit Run decides to put Risky's Revenge out on the Switch though. I do have the 2nd game downloaded on my 3ds from the shop. Risky's Revenge though a lot of fun felt kinda of short compare to the other games. It is still a lot of fun to play Though.

When I found out Limit Run games was putting Pirates Curse on the Switch, I had to nab that to go along with Half Genie Hero. Doing that pretty much means I have 3 physical copies of Pirates Curse, 3DS, Switch and PS4. Also have Half Genie Hero for the Ps4 also, but something about the Switch being on the go and than docking it to a TV has something the PS4 would never have. No offense to the PS4, its a great system, but sometimes you want Skyrim on the go lol.

Pirate's Curse is the best one, in my opinion. I've beat all of em, they're all OK to great. Looking forward to this one.

I really enjoyed Half-Genie Hero except for this one part in the last level I couldn't get past. Man I wish I still had the hand and eye coordination I did as a kid.

Hopefully there are more then 5 fusion coins and more then 4 dances.

I can't wait to see what monster cards can do.

There will be 50 monster card slots(w/ 3 equip slots for those).

Monster card example: Crab(increased crawl speed).

Wonder what the cards are for? The only thing I can think of is to transform into the Monsters Shantae fights lol.

That's game 2 down. It took game time 7 hours to beat lol. I kinda of forgot were most of the items were. I spend 3 or plus hours looking for the rotten egg, when Sky had it all along lol.

Well it is about half way through September and no release date announced, looks like this game will not be out till next year.

I've got sealed copies left of both of the PS4 Limited Run Games releases intended for our next (and even bigger than the last one) Game and Electronics Sale coming up in January.

They are supposed to be inventory, but the energy in this thread makes me want to tear the cellophane off and play them. I just don't have time for gaming anymore like I used to though....
