Gotta be honest, this version of Michelangelo is quickly starting to grate on my nerves with his baffoonery. I don't know if it's the writing or Cipes or what, but this version is literally starting to make me want to punch something.
Mikey's supposed to be the lovable goof, but this version is just nerve-rackingly stupid. |

I know that Mikey in this version can be annoying and dumb as a brick but let me tell you something, with every other awesome moment with Donnie, Raph and Leo, I was mostly like this
But with Dimension X episode it was like It's within those times when you know who is your favorite character.

I still like Raph the most in this series, but it's nice to see that all of the characters get a bit of screen time. Mikey is quite funny to me and I think that younger kids love his slap stick humor. Donnie has quite the story going on for him and he's been quite funny at times too. Leo has been great, but if I'm honest, I feel like he's the least used turtle in the Nick series. It's too bad because I loved his addiction to the Space Hero cartoon in season 1.
All of the turtles have had both strong and weak episodes. I just want to see how long they are willing to produce this show. I hate it when shows are cancelled even though they could have clearly continued for much longer. |

Easy one for me: Donatello.
I always liked smart (nerdish) characters. |

I honestly don't have a preference with the type a person is for me to favor. Raph may be my favorite in the TMNT, but Captain America is my favorite of the Avengers, and he's more Leonardo's type. In NCIS, McGee is my favorite, and he's the Donnie type. In X-Men, it's usually Rogue, but depending on the movie, Wolverine/Rogue in X-Men 1, Pyro in X-Men 2, Magneto in X-Men First Class and DOFP, and all of the characters are all over the place in terms of personality types. Hermione is my favorite in Harry Potter, and she's another Donnie type. Legolas is my favorite in LOTR, (not sure what personality he would be) Bilbo in the first Hobbit, and Bard in the last two Hobbits. Haymitch, Katniss and Jane are my favorites in The Hunger Games, and other personal favorite fictional characters are Hitgirl (I guess her personality mostly matches Raph) and Andy Knightly from The World's End (not too sure what personality he would be, maybe Raph?)

I don't really have a favorite Nick turtle.

Mikey all the way. Awesome comic relief where I have actually laughed out loud on numerous accounts.

Leo's cool in all of his incarnations, so it goes without saying he is interesting here too. Other than that, I really like Donnie here. He's so cute and fun (oh, and little girls simply adore him!) ^___^

In the beginning, I voted for Donnie, as Mikey (my all-time fave turtle) just felt too dumbed-down in this version. And while I still love Donnie here, Mikey is slowly regaining his previous spot as my favorite. The episode where he was stuck in Dimension X alone really did a lot to improve his character, I think. He still has a long way to go, but I love him much more now than I did at the beginning of the series.

I'm still so used to him in the OT as the laid back surfer/skater type guy.
I suppose the 2014 film showed what that character would be 30 years later... he was basically a bro but I have seen that type of character in skaters and other similar-personalities (I am friends with a few skaters and one going semi-pro). My problem in the Nick Mikey is that he feels VERY young. He is still a great character and has some great moments... but there are times to reflect where you realize he's fairly far off from what his roots were. Of course lets keep in mind that the original comic Mikey had almost no personality for awhile. I vote Donnie in Nick. Most times it's usually up to Don or Raph for me. I still like either, infact I think all characters are handled well enough... Sean Astin does great as Raph so I have no complaints on him, I just enjoy Donnie (although I wish they would tone back more on the creepy bestiality implications of Don, a turtle, wanting April. As sweet and innocent as it might be...

What the heck.
I quote: Full Definition of BESTIALITY 1 : the condition or status of a lower animal 2 : display or gratification of bestial traits or impulses 3 : sexual relations between a human being and a lower animal See bestiality defined for English-language learners » Examples of BESTIALITY I was shocked by the bestiality of their behavior. <by the end of hostilities the populace had been reduced to a level of bestiality that would have been unthinkable before the war> From this page: http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/bestiality So...Donatello isn't a "lower animal". This word implies that. I guess the Doctor from Doctor Who making love to a human woman is beastiality, or Superman being with Lois Lane, or any other number of *fictional* pairings. This is a cartoon- they AREN'T implying beastiality. My bad. *bestiality, not beastiality. I keep misspelling it. |

Yeah, kind of a weird gray area real life has no definition or moral decisions decided on since we've never had to deal with being among other intelligent, sentient, consenting beings who fit the category of 'people.'
Goodness help us all if our species ever found itself in close association with relatively human-like aliens like in some movie. Quote:

I actually think Donnie's crush on April is adorable. And with his personality I'm sure he appreciates her for who she is and not just for her looks. In the 90's movies it was Mikey who had a crush on her

good thing you have an auto-correct function. Which is more than Mikey in 2014 who only liked April for... whatever reason every other human male liked her.
