Why are people surprised by Aliens being in the Turtle movie?
Krang is an alien and they combined him and Shredder together for the 2003 series that I thought was fine. Their are alien dinosaurs called Triceratons, robots, multidimensional rabbits, and other animals. So what is so surprising about that the Turtles have an alien connection. The mutagen that transformed the turtles was also sopposedly made from waste that the Utroms had made and brought to Earth and the canister went missing or fell out the truck that swerve to miss the blind man crossing the street and fell in with the turtles that the boy dropped into the sewer. Mutagenic slime or aliens. It's a movie about crime fighting pizza benging turtles. Thow rational thinking out the widow and enjoy the wise cracking and ninja action.

People don't want the Turtles themselves to be aliens. I thought that was obvious.

Not to mention something that changes the concept drastically. I could care less if aliens appear in the film or not. But something I do NOT want is for the turtles to be aliens themselves. Last edited by Slap-Happy; 04-22-2012 at 10:36 PM. |

It wasn't that there would be aliens in the movie, or that the turtles would have an alien connection via the ooze. What got us was that Bay made it sound like the turtles themselves would be aliens, rather than the mutated turtles we've always known them to be.
Also didn't help that Bay has a bit of a hatebase. Something he knows about very well. He likes to say stuff just to mess with those that'll get riled up over an idea they don't like. Personally I'm kinda hoping that Krang is actually in this one. He was supposed to be in SotO. With him being the alien species in the new cartoon, it would make sense to carry that theme into the live-action movie (imo anyways).

I'd say my piece (or is it peace?) but I've said it enough I'm sick of it myself, but I'll just say this...What Cyber, Slappy, and Raven said...it's that the Turtles might be aliens, not a vague alien connection.

Remember there was a world the 87 turtles visited in where they meet the Turtleoids and helped their society. What if they are from there?

No, the Utroms were suppose to be in it according to Laird, not Krang.

When it was first announced the turtles would be aliens, people were surprised because in every origin thus far they are specifically known as mutants. Most people when they hear the word aliens think of ET or Aliens Encounter or something like that...not Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

I know, that's why I said Krang wasn't planned to be in the movie. Baxter was also going to be in the movie and an Utrom also.

Yeah, it came from Laird's blog here: http://peterlairdstmntblog.blogspot....on-second.html
This was what Laird said about Stockman: Baxter Stockman is actually a T.C.R.I. alien, fronting his mouser idea as a way of making money for the company, to aid their efforts to get off the planet.
