Got this cute pin in the mail. Posted it in the ebay thread recently after seeing it there, but got it a couple bucks cheaper after finding the site of the person who makes them (and many other awesome pins for other things). Cute punk 80s-ish style TMNT pin, handmade and limited edition... I couldn't resist.

Got a Valentine card from an aunt who I exchange cards with still, and it coincidentally was a turtle shaped/themed card including the words "turtley awesome" inside... and I'm certain she really doesn't have any clue I'm a TMNT fan, she just tends to like cards with cute puns.

I know it sounds cliched, but today the hubby and I had our Valentines date. Since I work tomorrow we did it a day early, which worked out great because it also coincided with my D&D game which he got to sit in on and watch for the first time.

My sister took her three brats home finally... 10, 5 and 2 (or 3) and the oldest behaves like he's the 3 year old. Lol man alive. Peace and quiet.

Brother-in-law left a nice card and a little TMNT box of candy in my room last night before I got home. He can be a sweetheart when he wants to be. And a card from my mom today as well as a different TMNT heart shaped box.

And had a good laugh just now after looking up the lyrics of some song that's been playing at work. Apparently it's by Adele. Over the noise at work, I just keep hearing the lyrics "Should I give up, or should I just keep chasing penguins." I knew it had to be wrong, but I think I'll stick with that version.

Edit: OH! Also funny - the local news this morning (and by local I mean Philly to the north of us) a news anchor said this before going to commercials:

Yesterday at work I decided to report this co-worker who's been a real @$$hat to me and other co-workers over the past several months. I felt good about myself, especially near the end of the shift when my friend/supervisor Nick and I spoke about it. I got some good people looking after me.

Working several hours with a coworker today (then the last three hours alone); so much of the time the few of us who deal with the second floor of the store are scheduled on alone. It's pretty nice actually work with someone once in a while.

And knowing that this was the last of a stretch of working six days in a row and I have the next two off (two off together like that is rare) and the two days after are fewer hours so it's a little bit of a break finally.

What made me happy is BBC and Warner Home Video finally announced they are releasing Doctor Who Series 5 in the Part's 1 and 2 format. The reason it makes me happy is I can finally replace my bootleg copy I got from Ebay and not have to spend so much on the box set.
