Very true! So excited about this news. But the showrunners from last season will not be on for this one. But i think that might end up making it better. And having only 6 will make the episodes more intense, cause i felt in the middle there 2nd season there was a bit of filler until they absolutely hit it out of the park with Episodes 10,11 & 12 (best episodes of the series IMO).

But this is definitely the swan song of the series if it doesn't get great ratings. Cause i don't have much hope netflix would pick up a 4th season.

I hear they were rebooting but i didn't want to believe it. Finish the story! You know they aren't getting renewed. Whats the point of starting something new.

I was afraid they were gonna reboot the movies after finishing the show with 6 more episodes. But they're completely rebooting the show? I don't know which is worse.

So we're never gonna see these characters again? ****ing hell.

I'd still watch it because it's a good show. I'm not sure if the final episode will be a satisfying conclusion though. Probably not seeing how you already know it's not coming back.

Were the show's ratings not good enough or something? Or does MTV just feel like a change?

Yeah he/she should def watch it. It's worth the watch. And apparently mtv hates white people. First that new years resolution for white guys, now this "less white" show. They could have easily added more ethnicitys to the current cast which already mains 2 latino characters.

Just watched the first episode "Pilot".

I say it's a pretty good modern take on the franchise. Using Snapchat video to scare the victim is pretty scary/stalker-ish. The actors are pretty decent, not appallingly cringy like some shows. Pity about the killer's mask though, it doesnt look as good as the original.

Still, I'm intrigued for more episodes.

That was obvious, but not having the mask was an odd choice. Definitely turned some people off the idea. Imagine a TV show based on A Nightmare on Elm Street but without Freddy's classic claw glove.

I guess they changed their mind from not wanting the original mask in the show to now having it in, I dont think they have much faith in the show anyway if it's 6 episodes over 3 nights.
