Dang, that's crazy. Must of cost a fortune getting all those phones just to have more likes on some website. Is it really all worth it though? Does the amount of likes and comments your product or whatever gets really matter that much? Geez, they could've just made some advertisements or something if they really want people to notice their product.

That is weird... And all for what, humanity's endless need for attention and validation? And drive to manipulation, of course.
In some weird way it looks like the technology version of rows upon rows of chickens stuck in small cages all day. Granted phones don't care, but still sort of looks like a mass quantity of them 'enslaved,' so to speak, and wasted for a crappy purpose. |

You know, I'm wondering what it costs them to have service to all those phones. Is it more affordable where they are?
Because given how expensive phone plans have become here, I'd be surprised if anything like that could ever be done in this country and actually turn a profit. |
