Splintered Fate (One-Shot)

Unexpected news to me, but the recent Splintered Fate Apple Arcade game has received an IDW One-Shot comic. Might be digital-only, and apparently only 12 story pages which serves as a lead-in to the game:

... I'm surprised an Apple Arcade exclusive gets a tie-in comic.

Probably connected with the deal to base the storyline and character appearances after the IDW-continuity, I imagine.

Is this online to read anywhere since it's just a small 12 page comic?

That's way too expensive for me. I'm looking for "free" or $0.00.

Not legally, no.

What a shame, I would like to read this but $1.99 is just above my price range. I don't have that kind of money.

A penny saved is a penny earned. Like Mr. Burns said when given the choice of sending $1 in the mail for eternal happiness he said, "I think I'd be happier with the dollar," and put it back in his pocket.

A 12 page comic advertising a mobile phone game especially should just be a free upload somewhere. $1.99 can buy me a bag of chips and a soda.

Just read it as well, it was pretty good for a 12 page comic advertising a mobile phone game. The artist did one of the IDW alliance issues with April escaping from Zodi.

The Turtles are fighting some Foot, Splinter tries to contact Shredder over astral plane to stop their war, and then the evil person in shadows (who is it?) tricks Leatherhead into working for him and then zaps Slash and throws him in front of Leatherhead too. He shows Leatherhead an image of the Utrom transmat device.

Karai is working for Shredder and we see him appear with a bunch of Foot and Mousers at the last page.

Slash's coloring was a bit odd in the scene where he's captured. Made him look like he had a bright pink nose and more of a blue-ish mask.

LH being presented with the Transmat is interesting because he's otherwise a very IDW take on the character. Wonder how different this world is from IDW's that him presumably using it to meet up with the Utroms could lead him to his goal of undoing his mutation.

Wouldn't we be able to just find out by... You know... Playing the game? Or at least by looking up a playthrough?

Guys, who is the game's main antagonist - that shadowy gamemaster? Is it Rat King?

I dispise the company "Apple", so I've searched for a walkthrough on youtube. After the TMNT beat Shredder the game doesn't end, right? How does the story play out? Spoilers wanted.

I believe the story "ends" after rescuing Splinter once you complete enough runs:

It's never revealed who mystery man is (at least not in any videos I can find,) but I think it's pretty obvious that it's Rat King. His magical abilities and constant talk of "games" fit IDW's version of the Rodent Regent to a t. (Also guessing the lady voice that contacts the Turtles near the beginning of the game is Aka.)

Jesus Christ, I lost track but that's like eight times you have to play the games just to rescue Splinter and it goes on for potentially even longer than that? I know it's a glorified mobile game but still.

Thanks guys! Have anyone played it and can confirm this?

Beautiful game design and comic art, but too simple to be of any interest. Like SF Duel. I'll stick to Shredder's Revenge and Rescue Palooza instead
