Ey, TMNT'ers!
I am Shookie. I am from north of the wall aka northern parts of Scandinavia. Where the land of northern lights be etc.
It is strange that I haven't found my way here before, seeing that I've been a TMNT-fan since my early years back in the 80s. I grew up in a tiny village back in the late 80s/early 90s. We had a small multimedia shop where the owner took in loads of games, comics and videos (VHS, DVDs etc.), and when he took in TMNT (or TMHT as it was here in north of Europe), it quickly became very popular. So, I was easily addicted to TMNT ever since. Together with 2 friends and some relatives, we started to collect whatever TMNT we could find, so the collection grew rapidly within a short amount of time. We watched all the cartoon episodes that were released on VHS and eventually on DVD as well, but later on, we found out that there were a TON of episodes we never saw because they were never dubbed to my language (norwegian). As time passed and we got older (so we'd like to think anyways), the collecting stopped, pretty much. Nowadays, I have only kept the figures, games and movies that hold a special memory for me. Given so many TMNT things away as well... bummer. Anyways. Besides TMNT, I do voiceover, I stream and I study film directing. And I am a big retro collector as well. Well, I used to be a bigger one before... So yep, that's me, pretty much. |

Greetings, its always nice to meet people who grew up with the Turtlemania and never got out of it like myself. With Nickelodeon's acquisition of the intellectual property rights I found myself more drawn to IDW than the other media which is a switch. I hope you stick around and do give your unsights on retro collecting.

Welcome. Thanks for sharing your childhood memories of TMNT (it was also called TMHT in Ireland, the UK, etc). You speak good English. Leonardo and Raphael are my favourite turtles, though I like Donatello nearly as much.
