I really like UVERworld's "Colors of the Heart".
It's such an inspiring song.

pferreira, too. He & the other 3 had a virtually never-ending argument which spanned several threads & got ugly at times. They were given 2 weeks off due to the extent things reached.

I'm only saying this in the hopes that this topic will be a one & done thing. So on that note, there's no need to address it further.

I didn't even realize some forum drama went down. It must have been in threads I didn't go in.

College football.

unlike regular football, where you can just enjoy a good game no matter the team playing (an odd effect in and of itself).....I find college sports to be an odd phenomenan.

Unless you go to that school, why do so many people care about college sports? college basketball is especially annoying to watch. the crowd always does a 'ooooooohhhh' psych out chant whenever the opposing team has the ball that gets annoying fast.

I don't know. I never had much school spirit myself...i was usually picked on for being a nerd..and the quiet type. maybe that is part of it.

College sports are like a preview of the upcoming professional season to see who gets drafted and goes where and whatnot.

Presenting: One of the reasons why I don't want to go to a big-name university. That and how expensive it is.

Meanwhile, I've just realized how they named Basil of Bakerstreet in The Great Mouse Detective. He was named after Basil Rathbone...the original film actor of Sherlock Holmes.
Well played, Disney...

Bare root plant in cup of water - thrives okay.

Plant in cup of dirt and over-watered - drowns.

?

I know the over-watered plant dies because it affects oxygen absorption through the roots. But how does it absorb it via water alone okay if over-wet dirt itself is a problem...

Was wondering since a tiny plant my mom has had in the kitchen window has been doing okay in a cup of water for a while, but still starting to look a little "eh," so I figured it might appreciate being moved to a cup of dirt. But because mother tends to be a serial plant drowner, she immediately started over watering the darn thing and starting to kill it. (I moved it back to just the cup of water to hopefully stop its would-be death. )

It told the story it wanted to tell, and went along on its way .

In the two TMNT takes where the Utroms have been on Earth for 200+ years, I'm disappointed they never discuss historical events that they would have been around for. Or very least flashbacks that had a "bit" of this happening:

"What the s*it is going on over there???"

I learn all my new terms from william shatner. makes me feel hip and young.

craycray I found annoying at first, but now I rather like it.

VirtueSignaling took a while to understand, but now that I think I've grasped the meaning, it's not a bad little phrase. Oddest one I encountered was someone bragging about their charity donations, wondering why I didn't do the same. without knowing I had on a few occasions. I just don't flaunt it like a trophy .

i sometimes feel a tad too old school for this crazy world. i probably won't fit in in another decade .

How is it that every subject I pick for one of my classes, it ends up having the most minimal information and I have to make up for a lot of it?

Because this eBay photo isn't spooky or anything.

Spoiler:

Went looking for a retro doll chair I'd looked at some weeks go and while browsing came across this... The listing is for both the chair/bench and "shaker type" dolls.

Maybe whoever made those should have aimed for an actual skin tone, not "entity of a faceless void that will get you after the lights go out." Geeze.

what makes this creepier is that the crew of the show didn't notice it. a fan pointed it out to them. the dolls hand moves perfectly like a tiny human hand and then goes back to normal. just wish it wasn't behind a curtain. first thing a skeptic will go too

It's official- I am married to a Sadist. Currently dressed as Pennywise. Don't ask. Let's just say that Mr. Duckie got his Halloween costume and now he is walking around the house dressed in big floppy shoes, a yellow suit with big orange pompoms on it and a mask. And he just creeped the crap out of our neighbor. For fun.
