I ordered all but the Foot soldier from BBTS. I'm not sure I'm going to support this line much past this first wave but I gotta hold these in my hands before I can feel ok skipping. I just wish these were shipping before wave 2 was up for preorder. |

Does anybody know when these are supposed to start shipping out?

Super7 accidentally sent out notices for all their pre-ordered products last week. Everything from Snake Mountain to Ultimate Raphael. It was an accident. Your toys are not shipping yet.

Suoer7 seems to be ok with reaction and convention exclusive release dates, but there’s zero chance S7 TMNTU wave 1 ships by June 2020. If we are super lucky, then maybe by September, more realistically Dec 2020.

So I finally did some soul searching and canceled ALL Super7 TMNT product.
Not going to buy this line, or the ReAction line. Why would I want to spend hundreds more to build a lineup of figures that pays homage to the classic toys, when I can just buy the classic toys? If they were cheaper, I'd most likely be in, but they're a ridiculously overpriced cash grab. There is too much TMNT product coming with these and NECA apparently letting up on all the brakes -- not to mention Playmates teasing classic throwback product as well. I would rather continue the reasonably priced NECA line that is making actual new designs than "upgrade" my perfect-as-is original lineup. I'm just one dude, but I'm pretty sure it's true that if you've lost me, you've lost a lot of others too. For the past 4 years I've bought just about everything with TMNT on it. |

It’s funny because I’m kinda the opposite. I’m fairly new in (I have a few of the original toys from when I was a kid), but the IDW comics, the 2012 cartoon and the NECA figures roped me back in. I don’t have the desire to seek out old toys that I’m not attached to, but I love the characters. I like the style of these super7 upgrades and agree that they are pricey, but I feel like these are going to have a much lower niche production run than the NECA toon and movie figures that are going to target and GameStop respectively. I think super7 is taking on more of the production and licensing costs than they are grabbing a higher profit margin. I have the ReAction pizza box set, but I think that is all I am going to do with that line as the aesthetics don’t grab me for these.

The NECA TMNT toys, S7 TMNT toys, and Playmates TMNT toys will all be perfect reminders of the 1990s for Gen XYers and Yers in the 2020s as the three movies, possibly the latter episodes of the 1988 syndicated FW series, second FW cartoon (CBS Saturday morning cartoon), and original Playmates toy line gets more noteworthy than they were in this time period.
I have no idea how long the S7 TMNT ReAction series will go on for, but it was fascinating for me to know that characters like Cadet Raphael and Undercover Don are set to be in a future wave. The original Playmates toy line was definitely at its peak in the years 1988 to 1990. Last edited by mikey0; 12-03-2019 at 11:13 AM. |

Sorry if I missed this, but is there any way you can see that cool artwork on the backing cards without the figures covering them?

Not at the moment, but the artwork used for the ReAction figures is on the artist’s Instagram page. His Instagram username escapes me, but it is in one of these S7 TMNT threads.

No, that was not the link. It must be in the other S7 TMNT thread for the ReAction figures. |

Irma and Mitsu? Those names are not usually on anyone’s want list for S7 TMNT Ultimate figures. Perhaps, NECA will beat S7 to a cartoon accurate Irma and possibly Mitsu.

* Needlenose * Killer Bee * Some of the previously unmade toys like Junkman, Jagwar, etc. * Perhaps even some “what if” figures of non-toy characters like Armagon and Lord Dregg as well as later characters like Hun, TigerClaw, Kavaxas, etc. |
