The film is tracking for an opening weekend of somewhere between $100-$120 million. If it over-performs then there's even a possibility for it to break Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice's record for the highest weekend debut in March.

She didn't even pay for the bread ! Take note, Aladdin.

But yeah, aside from some world building, it's probably going to be a line-for-line reshoot of everything.

I can't believe the Harry Potter girl is so famous. She's like this gens version of Carrie Fisher.

Sorry, give her a back story and depth, reasons for being evil and that's great but don't try and make what is arguably Disney's most iconic villain a misunderstood hero! Just didn't work for me.

So far The Jungle Book has been my favourite live action remake but if Beauty and the Beast can live up to the magic of that final trailer then it will easily surpass it. The Ashman/Menken musicals are my all time favourite Disney movies so I can't wait to see this!

My only worry is that in all the trailers we've not heard any of the cast actually sing (minus that short bit of Belle reprise which wasn't bad but also wasn't great, I'm trying to reserve judgement as it wasn't accompanied by the proper score). Hopefully it will live up to its potential and the legacy of the original.

That new single though - ugh! What happened to the amazing orchestrations it had in the trailer? It sounded so much better in the trailer, I was really looking forward to hearing the full version but such a let down.
I liked what they did with her. In the original we never get even a hint of her motives or history. We don't know why she was so angry at being snubbed or why she took the kind of revenge that she did. Or how she even knew the king and queen. Maleficent gave her a backstory and was told from her perspective, so we saw why she did everything. The fact that she grew to love Aurora was an interesting twist that made her more sympathetic, and redeemed her from her pas

The talking furniture look really weird in live action, although I guess there was no way of getting around it.

Some footage of the number "Gaston" has been released. It also features new lyrics.

Spoiler:
Disney is breaking huge ground in this movie. LeFou will be gay. This will officially mark the first time a character in a Disney film is open about his sexuality. I don't know how I feel about this because in the animated film, he clearly shows interest in the Bimbettes like in the picture below. I also thought that he just always admired Gaston and was his closest pal.

Wow, that's pretty lame considering all Gaston does is beat him around and treat him badly in the animated movie.

That's hardly "showing interest" by Lefou in that gif. Even a gay guy can playfully flirt with girls like that.

Looks like the three blondes will not be blondes in this movie.

In the meantime, here is a new clip. I'm sure they'll be some lines and moments you'll remember from the original.

I hope it includes songs from the stage show like 'If I Can't Love Her' or 'Me'.

Also, am I the only one who thought the Beast looked like Groot at first? Literally the first thing that popped into my head after seeing him was 'I am Groot.'

It looks like the feather duster might be doing a little bit more in this movie. Which is nice, considering how little she got in the original.

Disney released a new featurette about what Watson brings to the role of Belle and why the character has always been considered a feminist princess.

This writer has seen the movie and this is moment that is making all the headlines.

Spoiler:
Well, I will give it away: For approximately four seconds, in a ballroom full of swirling male and female dancers who are changing partners, a young man whirls into the surprised Le Fou’s arms, and they dance happily away together.

The Broadway songs won't be included. Instead, Alan Menken wrote three new songs.
