Its too bad she's wearing stockings and not showing off leg, but otherwise its fine. I'm surprised its so dark though, like in Man of Steel. It should be bright blue

I think this is really cool that it's happening but I have no idea how they'll make this show work. There's a Superman in this universe but won't be on the show and we know this isn't in the movie continuity and with any hope it's in the Arrowverse but still.

Ew
It looks like Man of Steel. I guess I was hoping that they'd try to use some color in this series, but I guess they decided against it. What a shame. |

But it does look like they are handling the character seriously.

Malina Weissman, who played a young April O'Neil in TMNT(2014), has been cast to play a younger Supergirl: http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/liv...pergirl-779887
Also some set photos from the pilot: http://www.comicbookmovie.com/fansit...news/?a=116418

I like it - muted colour aside she looks like classic Supergirl.

I still think she looks like an 80's sitcom babysitter to me. Too nice, too naive. No edge.
My opinion can only be changed by a trailer... when do we get to see her in action? Oh, and the police procedural thing... HUGELY skeptical regarding that.

Soo... Jimmy is essentially sent to this new city by Superman to watch over Kara. Okee doke. Also, GAH Cat Grant is such a biatch!! I wonder tho who they cast as Superman since we see him in silouhete and far away shots.

A thought occured to me. Aren't Helen Slater and Dean Cain supposed to be in this show? At first I didn't see them in the trailer. Then I rewatched it and BAM! It was a blink and you miss it moment 27 sec in during Kara viewing her life so far. I think, not sure tho, that Helen and Dean are her earth parents!!

Wait... this is a CBS show? What happened to CW? Sorry, probably missed a lot of news.
And the trailer, the trailer isn't that bad. Looks like it has a higher budget then some of CWs stuff. Although, it is a lot like a sit com. They have the one snobby boss, the sister who believes in her, etc. I'm hope they can live up to its name. |

CBS picked up Supergirl instead of CW. CBS is a mother station for CW so there could still be a possible crossover with Arrow, Flash, Vixen, and Legends of Tomorrow. Altho in the regular Arrow-verse shows they don't seem to be familiar with powered people while in Supergirl they seem to be well enough known that there's an org to study them and stuff. Plus, Superman is already well established.

Looks better than I thought it'd be. I actually like her as Supergirl a good bit, now that I'm seeing her in action. I'm hoping she can elevate the show above the rest of the cast, because honestly, I'm really not in love with everybody else. Other than her, I think the show's pretty miscast. And it still looks way more CW than CBS, but I guess for a show with a female protagonist aimed at a teen-ish audience that kind of goes with the territory. It's okay. A few spots made me laugh. And it doesn't look cheap or poor, so that's good.
Although if they're going to do a thing where they constantly tease Superman and we only see him in brief glimpses or flashback snippets, that's gonna get super-annoying. I get how he has to be established for the sake of the pilot, but if he's not going to be IN the show for a long time they should only reference him sparingly going forward. Otherwise it'll feel like a cheap tease. I'm sure he'll show up eventually, but they need to build it the right way.
