April's Best Job?
Thought the franchise, April has mostly been known to either be a lab assistant/programmer, an antique shop owner, or a T.V. news reporter. In the TMNT 2007 movie, she was a treasure hunter for hire, an extension of her job as an antique shop owner, which I think is a logical evolution of her character, seeing as how she hangs around four adventure seeking mutant turtles. In my opinion, the news reporter role is extremely cliche and staying put at an antique store doesn't seem challenging enough, but one could argue it brings some normalcy to her life of mutants, ninjas, and aliens. Thoughts?

Definitely the 2007 movie for me, for the reasons you gave. She used her skills she got from searching for her uncle Augie.

TV reporter probably pays the best, although I confess to having no idea what the current take-home rate on "Indiana Jones"-ing is. Lab assistant probably paid second-best.

Lab assistant was probably the most prestigious, but it was pretty short lived. You know, because her boss was criminally insane.
Different continuity bruh.

Remember one ep of the original cartoon where Burne threatened that he would, "Send April down to the mailroom," or "One more mistake and I'm busting you to the mailroom!"
Is the mailroom really that much a step down from a news reporter? |

Channel Six News reporter. I would have liked to have seen her end up behind the anchor desk regularly.

News reporter, so she can be where the action is. As long as she tones down reporting about the turtles, to keep them in the shadows.

Agreed. I’m not really a fan of the news reporter job, though I like the others.

Prestigious? I dunno how much she got paid for doing that, but I doubt that job gave April more prestige than being Channel 6's top reporter in the FW series did for her. April was in quite a good position at Channel 6 for a young reporter, not to mention she was recognisable by most of NYC. We all know how society loves their famous people and celebrities, so I'd say FW April was considered to have a more prestigious job overall.

One thing I think would be cool is if she could be an astronomer, and discover the existence of some planets iconic to the TMNT franchise (Hoonib, Morbus, Neutrino, Utrominon or whatever).

More like entry-level go-fer job. Hardly admin material.

I rather liked her job in the 2007 animated movie. That just seemed really cool. But for me I think her as the reporter was well used in the old series. She was good at hunting down information and had access to things.

I like her as the owner of an inherited antiques store.

That was cool too. I wonder if there will ever be a version of April as a cop or detective. Anyone think that would interesting?

If April herself worked in the police force, I would prefer her working in the office, supplying the turtles with information. If she is an active policewoman, it would suddenly be the turtles following April on her adventures. |

Have they ever had April as a policewoman? That could cool job for the character in another iteration.
