Eastman Designed ThreeZero Figures

The Kevin Eastman designed 1/6 scale ThreeZero figures have been revealed. They're not based on Kevin's regular work but rather new designs he created specifically for this seet of figures. I like Mikey & Don's designs best. These have a very mid-90's Kirby The Fifth Turtle aesthetic which is good or bad depending on your specific tastes.

The photos can be seen in hi-res on Kevin's Facebook page.

What do you think of these?

If I can afford them, I'm definitely in for the set.

Those look pretty awesome. I would get Mike first, closely followed by Raphael.

It's just enough of a weird stylized update/departure from the original E/L "prototype" designs that now (always) I really just want proper figures of the Intergalactic Wrestling Turtles.

Just saved the pics to my photos.
As I said in the other thread, I like em. I think they are quite a ways off yet as no prototypes will be ready in time for sdcc, but the clay models certainly look pretty neat. I am definitely in for this set.

Raph looks quite a bit like Eastman's Kirby concept from the unproduced TMNT IV movie.

I hope the sculpts are refined, they don't seem to capture that "Eastman" look of the sketches.

Cool, but based on the price points these are an easy pass for me. Especially with the Mondo figures coming down the pike.

Not feeling these designs. Which is a welcome surprise to my wallet. Too many pricey figs coming out in the near future I'd rather have.

Can the TMNT market become any more saturated? There's simply too much stuff to keep up with. As much I hate to pass on something from Kevin himself, I just don't have any connection to these designs and will likely pass unless they're like $20 each, which isn't happening. No space to put all this stuff anymore.

I'd love to have these. I pretty much only buy the four turtles when a new incarnation or different style comes out these days, and these are very different. I think they would look pretty cool in my collection.

Having said that, designer figures at 1/6 scale sounds like they may be pricey, and I'd probably pass if I couldn't afford all four.

As for the designs, I think they're a bit overdone and I wouldn't like this to be the Turtles' official, full-time look, but as collectable action-figures they look pretty rad. I'm interested in them because they are different to anything available now.

I must say that I'm disappointed. After getting the already busy designs/outfits for the Bay Turtles I was hoping for something more classic styled. They may not be able to do that because of licensing issues but it looks like Mondo will be getting my money as long as their prices aren't ridiculous.

Man, if these were 6" figures, I'd buy them immediately. I think the only thing I'd consider buying in 1/6 scale would be Henson movie accurate turtles. I dunno. I'll reserve final judgement until I see painted protypes. Nice eye candy for now though.

I like the design, Raphs shell looks like a grenade and Leo looks a lil too skinny and I wish they were in the 6" scale though. So much cool stuff coming out
