Apparently they have more in store soon to be announced ... so hopefully sooner than later, we'll see some traction!

Someone should really show them the numbers from NECA selling out all their 1990 movie figs showing them how much interest there is for products tied to this first movie. I bet you they would fast track it after knowing that.

I think they're fully aware ... we actually had a private Twitter message exchange that seemed like really good news since they were wondering how I had even heard something like this was possibly even in production. I brought the John Du Prez Q&A and basically it's a their lips are sealed kind of thing now ... but anytime you send a turtle emoji in a response, I take that as good news.

Does Waxwork include MP3 downloads with their LP releases?

Based on what I've read on their vinyl catalog page, it doesn't look like it unfortunately ...

I am happy for those who enjoy vinyl, but man I wish there were a CD release.

I still can't understand the urge to own vinyl in this day and age. the one thing I do like about it is the packaging with the large graphics but the vinyl can scratch and skip very easily.

WOOOOO!!!! I'm a vinyl guy, so this is welcome news. On the plus side for you non-vinyl listeners, the digital files have already leaked.

I can't wait to see the cover art!

It's not for everyone. Neither are standard transmissions, Rotary engines, hard copies of comics, brewing your own beer, or building your own furniture. Vinyl is what's selling now. Hipsters, nostalgia nerds, music nerds, people that love customizing and tweaking a physical medium to get the BEST possible sound. A starving music industry is taking advantage, and I don't blame them one bit. For me, it's nostalgia and the technical aspects of the medium. It's black magic! RIDGES AND A NEEDLE MAKE MUSIC?! Then there's the thrill of the collecting hunt. Scouring flea markets, hanging out at used record stores, finding better pressings. 95% of what I buy is in-person, not online. Also, I spend a majority of my work/hobby time in front of a computer screen. There's something relaxing about having a glass of wine and listening to a record. A completely non-digital medium. One can argue the technical specs of digital/analog, but they sound pretty fantastic on an even somewhat decent system.

Why buy printed comics when digital is readily available? ...and on that, I'm going upstairs and spinning the TMNT soundtrack as celebration for the tease from Waxwork!

you have a good player, and you can play even scratched beyond belief records. i'm still amazed the new one I got last year played all my old 80 kids ones perfectly.

but, new records just sound so much clearer than CD's do. there IS a difference.

After all these years we are finally getting an official release.... and it's Vinyl!

I really would have preferred a CD release but I am curious what the end product will look like.

Yeah I agree here. Would have paid for a CD release. I can't do anything with vinyl.

Good thing someone released the entire soundtrack digitally. I don't feel quite as bad then that it's vinyl only.

It may sound better and it may look great on a shelf, but CDs are far more practical to me. They're smaller. You don't have to flip the sides after a handful of tracks. I can easily load them up to my computer without the need of yet another extra USB device. You don't have to be extra careful taking them out of their case and placing them in the player. Also, it just feels odd, that years and years after waiting for this to come out, that it doesn't come to CD.

But I still plan on getting it to support its release, as well as film score record labels.
