You can't expect people to magically know what you're talking about when you act as if they made an individual post specifying they want our ideas. Had you been clear about that from the beginning, we wouldn't have had a mis-communication issue. It seems they're taking feedback in the comments section of their most recent post, I see that now, but that's not what you initially said...
I wonder if they're just saying that to be nice, or if they're genuinely going to try and work in the requests of fans...

I dont believe that they say that just to be nice. They want the game to sell well and to do that they must make it a good game. That why they are asking for our suggestions.

I dunno, man. A lot of companies say things just so that people will associate their friendliness with the brand. It sells games. & what also sells games is people thinking their idea may have been incorporated. If they are actually considering feedback, then I give them lots of respect and hope it'll be even better than I expect, but who knows...

Did Ubisoft ask for input for TMNT: Smash Up?

If they did they asked the wrong fans. Their problem was the development team all claimed they were fans themselves and took the "We like it so you will too!" approach. Problem was none of them were big fans and most of them hadn't seen anything TMNT since the OT but the newest movie. Explaining why the designs were based on the new movie.

Smash Up being 90% based on the 4th movie didn't help matters.

If you're referring to the character roster, no. Those were based on Peter Laird's approval.
Although I think no in general is also true.

But I'll never understand why they didn't go with the actual Sam Fisher instead of Splinter Rabbid, for example. (Must've been a heck of a lot easier to animate a Rabbid I guess). I've never used and never will use Rabbids..... But I still love Smash-Up. Would love Activision taking the baton for Smash-Up 2, perhaps based on the Nick Cartoon this time.

I'm hoping this comes out for Wii U. I think it'll be decent but I'm not expecting anything amazing because it is a downloadable game and it's a licensed game...
Ah. Smash Up, what a missed opportunity....but even with all it's flaws it's a decent turtles game and that's all I'm expecting from this game a decent turtles game. The biggest thing people should be taking from this is that Nick isn't afraid to have an edgier darker version of the turtles and that's good news, regardless of what you may think of the actual product so far, it shows promise for future visions of the turtles and not forever stuck as a kids property only. |
