I would have interpreted as a "make sure he doesn't break House Arrest" deal than actual imprisonment. Which might as well have been the same to Krang. I'm personally surprised he wasn't stripped of rank at the end of the trial, thus reducing the chance of him trying some kind of retaliation.

You can't strip somebody of rank if you're not in the same military.

Anyone who COULD do that is on Burnow, and nobody on Burnow probably wants to do that. Sounds like most of the Utrom survivors are Krang sympathizers...

But that kind of gets at the crux of why law pertaining to war doesn't make much sense. It's like okay, we can have agreements as to what is "acceptable" during times of war versus what constitutes war crimes, but it still comes down to two opposing factions who are resigned to eliminate enough of each other's forces to be declared the victor.

It's a form of cognitive dissonance, in my opinion. War is a horribly primitive concept to begin with, it's impossible to make it noble and proper with rules.

I don't know that I would call war "primitive." To my mind, that implies something humanity outgrew centuries or millennia ago, like bronze weapons. But I get what you mean.

Well, that's true. He'd have to get through any armor first.

I have also realized that we'd probably all be making Captain Hook and the Crocodile jokes right now if Krang had escaped, but maybe without a tentacle.

and if in addition shredder returns, it will make two characters with more or less the same personality.
So, it will give an impression of "we have no idea, we just bring back the two for the fan service" and because they need bad guys to do the bad guys.
I sincerely hope that Chrell will be worked

where, I found Krang interesting. his last speech confirms, he is more gray than bad guy to be baaddd because we need a bad guy with just bad ambition. and that makes the character much more interesting and endearing in some way (even if it's still a swelling that has committed crimes).he just wants the good of his people, even if he does not necessarily use very diplomatic means. but he drooled over having to watch over countless numbers of utroms; knowing that people around him have been sought many times to betray him. so you're surprised that he does not end up taking up arms and cleaning the ground. ( no i'm not a fangirl of Krang

after I admit that a fight between Leatherhead and Chrell interests me! I want my crocodile meat! xD
