El Paso shooter....

So no one posted on this yet? Yesterday there was a mass shooting at a Wal-Mart in El Paso. 19 confirmed dead, and others injured. Apparently there was a manifesto written on a blog hours earlier, but some are claiming it is fake.

there was also a shooting in Dayton.

What is wrong with people anymore? So terrible to think that here are all these people thinking they're just going to run to Walmart for a minute, not knowing they'll actually die there. Wtf.

Thinking about that stuff could paralyze you if you let it... Makes me glad my Walmart just recently installed a section of what I can only assume are metal detectors, and a security camera screen above it, that people pass through on their way in. (Unless of course they dodge it by going left... But hey, lets hope any bad guys are too dumb to avoid it.)

It's probably better if we didn't mention this at all. At least one of the shooters posted a manifesto where he mentions his support for certain political figures and movements.

I understand that others people who also support those figures and movements will denounce these actions and take offense to being lumped together with the actions of a madman. Even so, it remains a tinder box for an unfriendly political discussion.

We've done a very good job of keeping that off the boards for the past few months. Let's try and keep that up.
