Spoiler:
My favorites being Donatello geeking out over the Batmobile and Batman's brief encounter with Shredder. That moment in particular was so cool just because it's not supposed to happen.

It's a promising start to a story that seems to be made just for the fun factor. And so far for me it accomplishes that goal as a fun crossover experience that I'm excited to explore more in the coming months.
Completely agree, they did an amazing job introducing so many characters.
The art is fantastic!!! Really digging it. The only design I did not like was the Batmobile
The turtles personality wise remind me of 2k3 turtles

Spoiler:
The little stare down between Shredder and Batman was awesome!!!!! I did lose a little respect for killer Croc in this issue, I mean stealing parts from the bat mobile really????

Just read issue 1 and loved it. 2 of my 3 favorite characters in one book. Maybe The Doctor will meet the Turttes in the future. Anyway, I think that was the quickest I've ever gone through a book. I got to the end and like, where's the next page ? Gotta wait for issue 2 now. Stand out points for me were Bat's "Turtles" lines. You could see him thinking he'd heard wrong, of course, till that last panel.
Great stuff and recommended .

Couldn't wait for the face off so I did my own..

Man I can't wait to read this. Remember this is a 6-parter and not a 4-parter like IDW's mini, so this first issue was just an intro. It'll likely have a lot of meat.

I enjoyed the issue. Favorite moments would have to be the Turtles Vs. Killer Croc and his crew and Batman's brief encounter with Shredder. When does the next issue hit?

OK now I read it, it was very good for a first issue. I love how Shredder's design is exactly like IDW's Shredder, rather than either being a unique design or a Shredder that looks like any of the Mirage or cartoon Shredder designs.

Don also has buck tooth in one panel, and Raph's bandana still has that "Batman look" around the eyes just like it did in IDW. How ironic he now appears in a Batman comic.

Damian was also name dropped so this is the modern era of DC. Hopefully we get to see Nightwing at least.

It would be nice to have other's like Damien (who was name dropped) getting into the mix.
I know it's a comic, but will the writers re-use the "He's doing his Batman voice.." line. It could be amusing. On amusing, I really enjoyed the pizza segment.

He was good playing off of Dick Grayson as Batman, but good riddance to the lab rat. I thought he was dead? We need Mr. Grayson to show up instead.

Random comments...
Good start. Nice zinger from Alfred about why no security detail. Killer Croc is in the black market. I believe the writer has the characters down. Nice entrance made by Shredder and stare down he shared with Batman. Curious as to what Bruce has to say. Look forward to more.

I do wonder if we'll see 4 Batman members Vs. 4 TMNT.

Batman = Leonardo
Nightwing = Raphael
Tim Drake = Donatello
Batgirl or Damian = Michelangelo

Granted, maybe I should switch Nightwing and Damian around. Damian is a hot head like Raphael and Dick Grayson is known for being playful like Michelangelo.

Could be, but I really hope to see either batman and splinter face-off or batman and shredder

Spoiler:

i'd be thrilled if Dick Grayson showed up, but i'd be equally excited to see Damian show up as well.

they've brought Damian Back some time ago. ....and it was actually pretty awesome!
i was reluctant to believe it could be good because Grant Morrison had intended on that being Damian's fate all along- (Batman finds out he has a son, the boy is a monster-child, Batman eventually get's through to the boy, the boy sacrifices himself to save Batman and save the world)

but the way the continued Batman & Robin Series played out, they really humanized Damian in a very heartwarming way.
especially in his relationship with Alfred Pennyworth.

personally i's love to see Damian as well as Dick Grayson in this Cross-Over!

I read the Batman/TMNT and I loved it ( both art and story) Donnie looked adorable. He was fascinated by a certain cool vehicle. I know, I'm fangirling, but at that moment, I wanted to hug and kiss both Donnie and poor Mikey.

any possibility that this series might end up being a long term thing? like beyond this initial run?

i doubt that they could ever do an ongoing title unless they obtain rights to the characters.

but if the it's very profitable there's always the chance we may see another cross-over mini-series somewhere down the line?

on a semi-related topic-
my advice to anyone who enjoys any comic series (what ever it may be) don't just wait for the trade.
the comic industry is like any other business, it's ALL a number game!
and if a title isn't selling the numbers to make the people in charge happy, don't be surprised if that title eventually get cancelled.
and they don't care if stories end on cliffhangers, or are left unresolved.
