RIP Rutger Hauer

Rutger Hauer died on July 19th in his home at the age of 75.

Where do you mostly remember him from? My earliest memories of Rutger is from Blind Fury and The Hitcher, that scared the hell out of the little me.

No way! This makes me sad. I loved him in movies like Ladyhawke, Crossroads, Blade Runner, and a (guilty pleasure) fave, Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Such a loss. RIP, Hauer, you will be missed.

A legendary action star in his time, among already mentioned works, loved him in Nighthawks opposite Sly, also Past Midnight, Split-Second, Sin City, Partners In Crime, etc...
He had a unique presence on-screen, also a knight and environmentalist. Enjoy heaven Rutger Hauer.

Rutger Hauer was amazing on Smallville as Morgan Edge. Sucks when they recast him and the character claimed he got plastic surgery.

Interesting factoid: he died the same year as Roy Batty did in-story.

I knew that tidbit before even looking at this thread, the 80s fanatic I am. Still, RIP.
