It sucks that Iron Fist has to go first for continuity.
We do get a little more informatuon about what to expect plot-wise though, Guardian Devil will also be adapted alongside Born Again. Does this mean the death of Karwn Page? I was truly hoping for better development for her than in the comics. http://comicbook.com/marvel/amp/2018...gpin-donofrio/

October 19th season 3 will debut. Its been two and a half years since season 2, 14 months since Charlie Cox was last seen as Daredevil in Defenders mini-series.

Insanity itself. It better be a full season, too, and not 10 episodes of less like IF season 2 or Defenders.

There was a 23 episode order when Iron Fist was picked up along with Daredevil season 3. Since Iron Fist was shorter with 10 then Daredevil should be the same old 13 episode. Iron Fist was not as well received as the other Marvel shows and Daredevil is the most popular (heck, its the only one I got invested in) so it would only add to the likelihood of Daredevil season 3 being 13 episodes long.

Spoiler free review of episodes 1-6. It looks like it lives up to anticipation. However, will Karen Page die? Her character has to be one of the poorest written in Marvel history. Instead of going into X-rated films and selling out Daredevil for drugs she is an independent journalist. I hope not too much is inspire by the pair of storylines that did her wrong. If she dies thrn my enthusiasm will with her.

This season is so ****ing baller. Way better than the last one that focused on all that Elektra ********, but episode 10 suuuuuuucks. Oh cool, a Karen flashback episode. Just what I asked for in a Daredevil show.

Loved season 3 of Daredevil. It really brought me back on board after the second half of season 2 and Defenders nearly wiped out my interest.
I hope the show continues on to season 4. I'd love to see them switch things up a bit and try to match the tone of Mark Waid's run, now that Daredevil has been through the shitter for three seasons now. Don't get me wrong, I still want to see him mentally and physically challenged, but I'm also ready for some color, vibrancy, and optimism. Up the budget a tad and let things get just slightly more fantastical. It would be a difficult balance to strike, however. |

Still anxiously awaiting to watch season 3. On a separate subject, I'm really despising the largely revisionist but still popular idea that everyone is supposed to hate season 2.
I dug the crap out of season 2. The Hand stuff was brutal, the Punisher stuff was awesome and I loved the crap out of Elektra and what she brought to the table with Matt. Hardly any need for a course correction after that even if it did leave me wanting the third season to be a little more focused (there's a pretty hard shift between "the Punisher half" and "the Elektra half," even if I didn't really mind).

I'm not gonna be able to watch this for awhile; I'm busy making my way through Sons of Anarchy, and then I think I'm gonna go ahead and rewatch all of Daredevil from the beginning.
Glad to hear this was a killer season, though... can't wait! (Still no intention of watching Iron Fist season 2... )

For myself, I can say that I have mixed feelings towards it. I've watched the first 4 episodes more than twice, and I really enjoy them - they're intense. Elektra, as a character, worked for me as well. That said, last time I went back to watch the second half, it really wasn't sitting well with me. The pacing dragged and the fight scenes lost all the dynamic choreography they had earlier on in the show (season 3 has fantastic choreography overall btw). Also, some of the dialogue was just plain goofy in season 2. I'm still a fan overall, but essentially due to the first arc. |

I don't see a drastic dip in quality in any of the Netflix shows beyond:
1. The ending of Jessica Jones S1. 2. The last few episodes of Iron Fist S1. 3. All of The Defenders. I didn't even really mind Diamondback in Luke Cage S1. And while it was mostly entertaining, I don't like that Jessica Jones S2 forgot to have anything in the way of a villain and seemed to shy even further away from her doing anything with her powers. Now, is anything quite as GREAT as Daredevil S1? No. But Daredevil S1 was new and fresh and kicked in the door for this family of shows and defined the framework. Nothing will ever live up to that again. The Defenders itself should have lived up to and exceeded that, as it was supposed to be not only a culmination of all the shows so far, but a fulfillment of the promise of Daredevil S1's season finale teaser... but it failed on every single level. It barely even tried.

Luke Cage has been meh both seasons (though the first season's first half was amazing), Iron Fist was meh, and Jessica Jones' second season was meh. Daredevil's second season was good, but like Luke Cage's first, felt drastically different between the first and second halves of the season. And The Defenders was just pathetic. In general, I do think the Netflix shows have been struggling. I don't think any of them have been struggling enough to warrant their cancellation, though, with the sad exception of Iron Fist.

And yes, the Meachums are the biggest casualties here. Even if Danny or Colleen shows up on Jessica Jones or Punisher or something, you just know they won't be.
