Is Usagi a tradition?

I realize that Usagi has been in every animated series of tmnt. So hopefully he'll show up in Rise. Seeing how he'd be designed for that show is something to look forward to.

But now this video has me imagining something pretty scary. If The Next Mutation had lasted past its first season do you think we would have seen a Usagi for that show? How would they have done that? Man in rabbit suit?

I would not have looked forward to that lol. On a scale of 1 to 10 how awful would that costume have looked?
