Ours have been getting "outside time" on our patio for a short time most days for about a month now. Demona sticks pretty close for the most part now that she can't see well, but Angel tend to want to roam a bit so we have to keep a close eye on her and herd her back toward the patio when she starts to wander. I'd love to let her range further out but we live next to a fairly busy road and people are always coming and going in the parkung lot for the apartments so we keep her away from the parking area and follow closely and bring her back if she goes veey far.

So, we ended up keeping one of the kittens from our last foster batch (as what tends to happen most of the time) and she's mostly my brother's cat.
I now have my favorite pictures of her.

Oh man, she really is.
The pictures of her face really don't do her a lot of justice She's a bobtail, so that contributes to her having a slightly unusual shape. Her name in Cersei (the kittens had Game of Thrones name theming), but we call her CeCe

We have a tortoiseshell too. She was another foster we got stuck with/kept from my boyfriend at the time whose family Should Not Animals™
However, I do not have an image of her, but a pickle our ten year old cat (and only Mama Cat) just got herself into Tag says "Merry Christmas", so she must have tried to get into one of the gift bags from my mom's preschoolers. Next to her is one of the kittens my sister-in-law is adopting. Edit: According to my brother, the thing was around her all night. The extra cardboard has since been removed, since she doesn't really seem to care much about the handle and tag.

Great pics! Since this is the pets thread I thought I'd share this; this morning at work I heard one of the weirdest ringtones ever- a sort of cartoonish, "angry Halloween cat" growling and hissing. I sent hubby a text telling him about it, and then a bit later got one back saying that he had been playing various kitten sounds on Zedge on his phone. Demona heard it and immediately began looking around for the "baby". This was all the funnier since she is almost completely blind now. He said she couldn't find it on the sofa where she usually lays, so she got down and was prowling around searching for it, and tried to go under the sofa looking for it there. He finally had to stop because he said she was worried about the "kitten", lol!
She had 4 litters over the years, back when we first had her, but has been spayed for several years now. But she was a very good mama to all her babies, and still has a very strong mother instinct. So cute when she goes into mommy mode, lol! She even "mothers" us on occasion, by coming over and trying to bathe our hand or head when we lie down on the sofa.

That's really sweet!
Boots was never really much of a mama cat to any of our other kittens - besides her own even then she wasn't fantastic at it. They were too big for her to carry around even when they were tiny. But recently, she has made nice with the much older current three that we have. Two of which will be moving in with my youngest brother and his wife soon. Eventually we might have to say farewell to our oldest cat Bianca, as she's getting into the "too old" stage and doesn't really go into the house as much anymore. She even sat on my mother while one of the kittens was in her lap - which she pretty much has never done or tolerated until then.

Awww. Demona is kind of a small kitty herself, and only ever had two or three per litter. 10 in all, two litters of two each, and three each in the other two litters. The two kittens we kept ended up bigger than she is.

Thanks dude. Sorry to hear your sad news. It definitely hurts to have those kinds of losses. My cats almost four years old. She went missing for a few days when we first let her go outdoors. She’s an indoor/outdoor cat. I might not get another pet after this one because it sucks so bad dealing with the loss.

Kidney failure at 10 really sucks. Especially since 10 isn't that ancient for a cat.
Our oldest cat Bianca, 17 years old, has been hanging out with me a lot more than my mom. Since her bed is usually overcrowded by the others. Cece, meanwhile, is still making great faces

Here is our newest family member. Her name is Cinnamon. Don't let the cuteness fool you- she is a little hellraiser!

Actually, that shot doesn't do her markings justice. Her belly is spotted, but her sides and back are more- swirly. She has huge whorls of dark bands that form a sort of "c", or a spiral of sorts, in the middle on each side, with heavy dark wavy streaks all around and a dark line down her spine. Looks like the swirls of a cinnamon bun, complete with runny "icing"(the lighter color) all over. Hence we started referring to her as our "cinna-mini", and because she is so sweet but sassy, the moniker of Cinnamon stuck. If I can get a good shot of her side-view, I'll post it, but she might not sit still long enough, lol!

You'll get there eventually. Gotta get her while she's sleeping.
