Wow. Very cool. Possibly the greatest Shredder figure ever created (not a lot of competition). Like that he comes with a full array of TMNT weapons, in Shredder style. Good work all round. Shame I probably won't be able to afford him though...

Great for some but as krang was, just too stylized for me. I'm not desperate enough for a toon interpreted Shredder. Would like one... But want it accurate. Especially assuming the price will be similiar to krang. Even at a $99 price point (just assuming), it's still too much for an interpretation of the character.
Glad this will satisfy lots of fans though

I'll transfer my comments here from the other thread:
Hmmm... well it's a nice piece visually and in terms of quality. But in terms of filling the toon-Shredder-shaped-hole in my life, it's not exactly what I was hoping for Here are my issues with it: -Body is too muscular and square looking and the arms look too long. -Armor/blade pieces are too large and have overly complex "robotic" detailing. -Helmet/faceplate also looks too "robotic" and tri-points are too strong. -Armor and helmet colors are too blueish, colors should match the blades and tri-points. -Blade shapes are too angular. -Cape part on the chest looks too low and oddly "V" shaped. -Torso patterns/detailing shouldn't be there, too "robotic". -"Loincloth" part hangs too low. -Belt is too complex design entirely and wrong color. -Scale looks slightly too big even for the Classic Collection Turtles. -No interest in the futuristic looking Turtles weapons either. Basically, was hoping for something somewhat closer to this! While I do appreciate what First Gokin are doing (stepping up where Playmates are dropping the ball) and I love the quality of their figures, I think this Shredder is just too far away from the toon version for me to buy it. I know Krang wasn't 100% accurate to the toon version, but for me it was close enough to fit in with the Classic Collection Series 1 Turtles. This isn't. Just like Playmates Bebop and Rocksteady, it's just too stylized and I simply can't recognise it as the character I grew up with. Which is disappointing because I really wanted to like it |

If Shredder is 8 inches tall, I'm out. I can work with 7 inches, but 6.5 inches would have been ideal for a Shredder.
But, if he's gonna tower over the behemoths that is Playmates "Classics" Turtles, which are about 7 inches tall. He probably needs to be 8 inches. And that's such a shame, cause only Mego figures are in the 1:9th scale, which is what the Playmates Classic Figures are in, if there was any regards off scale. Mego figures, and that failed and now long dead ThunderCats Classics are 1:9 (8 inch) scaled figures. |

Photo Update of NT-02!! BEAR IN MIND THIS IS WORK IN PROGRESS. Changes are still being made to it. They heard the out cry about too much details on body, we will see what kind of change they will make at the next shot.
Check it out!

Yeah. I was really hoping he'd be about an inch shorter. The Classic Collection figures are only going to come up about his elbow level and that makes him too tall for even those figures

I know scale COULD get out of wack in the old show, but he was usually depicted around this height. I like the design enough to still consider purchasing him, if the price is right. But the towering aspect of his height reminds me more of one of the video games...

Height looks pretty off to me IMO.

I donno...
Considering Cerebral is 10.4 inches tall (265mm)... First Gokin Shredder gotta be over 8 inches tall, close to 9 inches to reach Cerebral's shoulders. The Playmates Classics Turtles are 6.6 inches tall. |

Yeeeeahhh... He's WAY too big & overly detailed. Not to mention, given the position of his stance, he's even taller than that photo suggests. If he were shoulder to shoulder with that Krang it'd be an even greater difference in height. Gonna look totally weird with Bebop & Rocksteady, especially. The top of his helmet should be under Krang's shoulderpads, for a start. & I personally think pointed shoes should be a big "no-no".

I think he looks really cool and regardless of scale he would look great on display by himself. I can see people's issues if they want it for creating a display with their other figures though. I wonder if he could be posed with his arms crossed back to back with Krang cause that would be awesome

Which is a shame, the height is a complete turn-off. The techno scribbels on his clothes, I personally could manage, it's a bit weird. But, the figure got a solid strong silhouette, the armour looks nice, I like the helmet a lot.

I swear this Shredder reminds me of Turtles in Time Re-Shelled. I like it, but it doesn't match any current iterations. This Shredder will display alone in my collection.
