It's actually a discarded idea from season 1 of the OT. It was going to be the finale according to a David Wise interview (forgot which one)

The endorsements keep coming and Stan Saki's happy to see Usagi included. He was asked by another fan at Heroes Con.
Oh wow!

Yup, I think the earliest report the scrapped plan for the Turtles to take over the Technodrome was published in Comics Scene #5 (1989):

This game is a blast. Its just I cannot get through it all with the lives provided. How about infinite lives for infinite fun?

it mainly has to do with who you choose. i recommend splinter he has decent jumping, a cur lee maneuver that can effect multiple enemies and his main attack can take out foot soldiers in less hits. also for the bonus stages try for catching the pizzas from the cheap skate. you can get about three lives if your good.

Is Beats of Power 2 close to a release date, or does that still need a lot more development time?

Thought I'd mention that this was given a shout-out at Nintendo Life.

I'd love to see this game get done in 16bit or something similar to the He-Man openBOR game that was released a year or so back.

Speaking as a tech fanatic and another Mac user, I can confirm that it works fine in Crossover, which is a commercial port of Wine. It might work in the free versions of Wine as well.

It is (roughly, probably, I didn't actually sit down and count) 16 bit though?

I'm guessing by "16 bit" he probably means "use the Turtles in Time sprites."

My limited experience with sprite editing is that NES sprites are far simpler and easier to update than their SNES/Genesis counterparts.
Nelson did incorporate a number of Turtles in Time and Tournament Fighters assets into the game, but his preference for the Turtles were the NES games, and I think they are the best fit for the game he built.

Yeah I think you're correct there. I just associate the artwork quality they did for this fan game with the Snes era games. I will be over the moon if someone does na OpenBOR TMNT game like He-Man. It really looks like you're playing a TV episode.
